Filmed over the course of three evenings at the Birmingham NEC in 1991, "Performance" features the Pet Shop Boys in top form, showcasing some of their greatest songs. I hesitate to say "singing," as this is, as the title suggests, a performance piece. Lavish sets, garish costumes, and a calvacade of dancers and backup singers make this a needed addition to any PSB fan's collection. The weakest track would be "What have I done to deserve this" and that is only due to Dusty Springfield's absence; I fear I've been spoiled by the "Montage" version. That is not to say that this track on "Performance" is terrible; it is just that it is not the same hearing another woman sing backup. Standouts are "Jealousy," "It's a sin," and "We all feel better in the dark." 　　As with the "PopArt" DVD, the commentary is generous and a kick to watch, giving greater insight into Tennant and Lowe's songbook. Enclosed is an interview with Neil and Chris from '91, as well as one with David Alden and David Fielding. 　　"Performance" contains perhaps the most intriguing ninety minutes worth of concert footage I've ever been privy to witness; it will require multiple viewings just to take everything in, and even then, it will always seem fresh and new, as if experiencing it for the first time.

“Pet Shop Boys: Then and Now”, a new “Imagine…“ documentary feature with Alan Yentob, will be airing on BBC One on 16th April. This is the first time Neil and Chris have allowed backstage access to a camera team, accompanying them during the Dreamworld tour for an intimate look inside the world and creations of Pet Shop Boys. In this feature, Alan Yentob will also be talking to Tennant and Lowe about the new PSB album,“Nonetheless”, and their creative evolution over the past four decades. Young writer Richard Collier is met on the opening night of his first play by an old lady who begs him to "Come back to me". Mystified, he tries to find out about her, and learns that she is a famous stage actress from the early twentieth century. Becoming more and more obsessed with her, by self-hypnosis he manages to travel back in time—where he meets her.

Leo and Angela Russo live a simple life in Queens, surrounded by their overbearing Italian-American family. When their son finds success on his high school basketball team, Leo tears the family apart trying to make it happen.

Montana cattle rancher John Alexander is a strong-minded individual and a man of few words. Because he’s land-rich but cash-poor, he grudgingly accepts an offer from a production company to use his land as a film location. Though it’s good money, the tough rancher doesn’t trust that the Hollywood film crew will treat his land with the respect it deserves. Alexander holds onto a deeply traditional vision of his world just as the film’s director, a creative urbanite named Fabian, maintains his own vision for his film. Both men are hoping for the best: Alexander wants to save his ranch, and Fabian wants to be catapulted to the next 'it' filmmaker.
